1.In Africa, LGF provided technical assistance in designing a program to provide access to clean energy for 1000 public schools and hospitals in the Gambia (with the European Union and European Investment Bank), leading to the development of a regulatory framework to enable small renewable energy producers to connect to the electric grid. 2.In the Caribbean and the Americas, the Foundation continues to work with the Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN) to support clean energy entrepreneurs collaborating with poor, rural communities to provide energy, water, health, and other infrastructure services necessary for their economic development.3. The Foundation has been in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) since 2013.
