In fiscal year 2022, the Film Commission generated economic impact by attracting production companies and producers to the destination. They pulled 328 permits, which generated $15,241,500 in local spend to Hillsborough County businesses. They also generated 2,250 local hires and produced more than 1,570 room nights. The Organization worked with over 60 local companies utilizing digital media technologies to complete 12 industry video spotlights on local companies, produced a commercial and campaign highlighting Hillsborough County, produced a 30 second commercial for Film Tampa Bay implemented across all media platforms, and maintained the podcast "loose framing" completing 22 episodes.Participated in the Sunscreen Film Festival, Gasparilla Film Festival, and Savannah Film Festival to promote the destination to production companies and producers in order to bring their business to Hillsborough County.Conducted familiarization tours for Project "Wildman", along with 5 lifetime films resulting in over $5M in revenue booked for 2023.Continued to chair the Strategic Futures and Film Commission council as well as serve as board president for the TBCN (Tampa Bay Community Network) and Tampa Bay public access tv station.Partnered with Tampa Theatre to host four community screenings free to local residents with filmmakers in attendance.
