Agriculture image promotion -agriculture promotion funding is dedicated to educating those who are not actively engaged in farming of the real benefits of agriculture. This is a message of understanding the importance of agriculture and is carried out with funding of the ms Farm families organization and a bi-monthly magazine distributed to all members. Agricultural policy and education development- the Federation sponsors education seminars throughout the year. These opportunities are available to members. These seminars help the farming community with implementing Farm business practices and staying up to date on the changing government regulations and market prices. The Federation holds three annual commodity education events for Farm Bureau active farming members. 1,435 attended the winter, summer, and annual conference. Numerous speakers come to share their knowledge on issues related to commodities and legislation. The Federation regional managers work with 82 county Farm bureaus and their volunteer leaders around the state to implement programs that benefit their membership's agricultural interest. Staff and active farming members also attend a national conference to gain knowledge of best agricultural practices. The Federation partners with agricultural related advisory organizations for research assistance. Scholarships are presented each year to Farm Bureau member students studying in an agricultural area.safety programs -the Federation safety programs are presented to provide information to help save lives and prevent injuries. During the year, 33,912 attendees participated in the Federation's 687 sponsored safety programs and events. Examples of programs include grain bin safety, on-site tractor and Farm safety, atv safety, fire safety, first aid and home safety, and texting and driving. In july, the Federation hosted youth safety camp for 46 students grades 7th to 12th. Young farmer program - the objective of the young farmers & ranchers program is to provide leadership in building a more effective Farm Bureau to preserve our individual freedoms and expand our opportunities in agriculture.the Federation hosted 8 state and national programs to promote leadership skills for 543 farmers between the ages of 18 to 35. The Federation also provides activities and competitions that recognize young leaders in agricultural. The Federation recognizes and awards individual contestant winners to help them further their agriculture operations.
