Family Health Services Corporation provided medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmaceutical, and social services to residents within the Magic Valley Community. The Corporation provided access to high quality patient services at 3 clinic locations in Twin Falls, and one location each in Burley, Buhl, Kimberly, Rupert, Fairfield, and Jerome, Idaho. In addition a mobile dental unit was used to access those areas where a clinic does not exist. The Corporation utilizes federal and state funding resources and is subject to the compliance requirements of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources, Public Health Services. (Continued on Sch. O)The Organization provides care to patients who meet certain criteria under its charity care policy without charge or at amounts less than established rates. The Organization provided charity care to 12,911 patients during the year ended September 30, 2020. Because the Organization does not pursue collection of amounts determined to qualify as charity care, they are not reported as patient service revenue. The amount of charges foregone for services provided under the Organization's charity care policy were approximately $3,500,000 for the year ended September 30, 2020. Total direct and indirect costs related to these foregone charges were $4,239,000 at September 30, 2020, based on an average ratio of cost to gross charges.The Organization receives funds to offset or subsidize charity care services. The amount of funds received was $5,525,176 for the year ended September 30, 2020.
