Subsidized Counseling was successfully provided to low-income, uninsured individuals and families. Our 2023 data shows that a total of 2,391 Counseling session hours were provided to 520 individuals and families, representing a 27% increase over 2022 in the number of Counseling session hours provided. Both english and spanish-speaking clients were served.we were able to provide access to mental health services for populations which often struggle to find affordable care in a timely manner. Less than half of utahns with a mental health condition receive professional treatment. Our ability to offer subsidized mental health services for unfunded populations positively impacts the overall health of nothern Utah residents. By providing prompt care for individuals dealing with a variety of mental health issues, we were able to decrease their risk for dangerous behaviors such as substance abuse, voilence and suicide.
