Program areas at Families Forward
The Families Forward housing program offers housing and supportive services to Families at risk for or experiencing homelessness, enabling Families to regain and maintain self-sufficiency and financial stability. Our housing program provides Families with a wide range of housing solutions, including emergency motel stays, brief interim housing support, rapid re-housing assistance, rental assistance, and affordable housing opportunities. Families Forward successfully prevented or ended homelessness for 679 Families (2,354 children and their parents) and served more than 12,045 unduplicated individuals. One year after completing the program, 97% of Families remained stably housed.

The food pantry distributed 32,820 meals to Families, adults, and seniors. Through career coaching, 112 individuals developed critical skills to find a job and increase their income. Children and adults received mental health support through 493 counseling sessions. Backpacks full of school supplies were distributed to 1,272 local school children. For thanksgiving, 875 Families received baskets of donated food to make a traditional holiday dinner.
