Pilgrimages - the 2019 congressional pilgrimage to Alabama challenged participants to find "hope in history" on the hallowed ground of the civil rights movement. This experience called for individuals to imagine the best of themselves and the best of one another. Faith & Politics Institute has returned to the american south nearly every year since 1998 to be inspired to live out the virtues of conscience, courage, compassion and commitment called in the philosophy of dr martin luther king. The 2019 pilgrimage engaged all the senses through art, architecture, story, and song. During the 2019 pilgrimage, participants came to together to "take it all in." With the key take away of developing personal plans for each person (from the smallest to the most expansive of ways) to turn the weekend into each participant's lasting efforts to make our democracy even better and our world more just.

Communications - activities related to promotion of exempt purpose. Activities include production and mailing of newsletters, annual reports, website, etc.

Forums and small group dialogues: leadership development-focused lectures and small reflection group discussions with political leaders or senior congressional staff on shared values and bridging divides that arise in a thriving democracy across party, race and Faith lines.
