Leadership institute: the instiute for Leadership development & research (the institute) strives to be the preeminent institution for research and development of african-americans in the corporate world. The institute provides executive-level seminars, peer mentoring, coaching, and networking opportunities with top corporate executives and Leadership development training.
The mid-level managers' symposium (mlms) is a two-day program conducted by the elc's institute reaching more than 800 high potential african-american professionals. Mlms takes advantage of the skills and experience of elc members and other corporate executives who provide mid-level managers with best practices, career strategies and insights about the corporate and business skills needed to advance.
Strategic consulting and board initiatives: meetings are held worldwide and designed to provide elc members with networking and Leadership opportunities, professional development, research and Leadership briefings. Members are informed about important business, public policy, and Leadership trends and issues affecting businesses and the african-american community. Guest speakers include senior african-american corporate executives and ceos from fortune 1000 companies, higher education and public policy leaders, researchers, community development experts, and others
