Emmaus Family House serves 54 homeless families at one time, 28 in the congregate setting located at 150 How Street in Haverhill and another 26 families in scattered site apartments located in Haverhill.
Mitch's Place offers temporary overnight shelter to individuals year round. Mitch's Place is a 30 bed, year round emergency overnight shelter for single men and women. In addition to referring clients to outside services, Mitch's Place offers on-site intervention in collaboration with a regional mental health center and medical assistance through a local family health center and provides shelter and services to specialized populations including homeless elders (in collaboration with Elder Services of Merrimack Valley) and people living with AIDS/HIV+.
Housing Stabilization Program connects families and individuals to a wide range of housing opportunities, including Emmaus-run programs, as well as government-funded rental assistance programs and other financial resources. The team continues to stay connected to families for 12 months after they leave.
