Education & schools - egsa offers a suite of in-person, online, and experiential educational and professional development opportunities, as described:- george rowley basic school of on-site power generation - the basic school is designed for sales, marketing, management, applications engineers, engine technicians and administrative personnel that need an understating of the theory and application of the mechanical and Electrical components within a generator system, starting with basic electricity. - george rowley advanced school of on-site power generation - the advanced school is designed for engineering, project management, service managers, and businessowners who have a good understanding of the basic mechanical and Electrical Systems found in an on-site generator set. A minimum of 3 years' experience in the industry is recommended. - load bank school and certification - this is a 3-day course which includes classroom and hands- on training sessions for technicians. The course concludes with students taking the egsa load bank certification test. - on-demand school - egsa's on-demand schools offer customizable a la carte education where we partner with your company to bring our rowley school instructors of on-site power directly to your workplace. We can give your team personalized live online sessions, or a combination of in-person and online. You can also choose classes taught from either the basic or advanced schools. Everything from basic electricity to advanced sizing to service is available. - learning management system (lms) online webinars and courses - our lms features a host of recorded webinars and industry courses that allow you to further your knowledge either at the office or at home.
The Association sponsors two conferences to keep members aware of the current trends in the industry.the conferences offer educational sessions covering a broad range of issues affecting the on-site power industry. The Association invites major speakers from member companies, utilities, research firms, government agencies, and others to give presentations on key issues in the industry. As an exhibitor or attendee, participants find the exhibitor showcase to be the ideal place for distributor/dealers, manufacturers, and manufacturer's reps to convene and discuss business.
