Edmond Mobile Meals

Edmond Mobile Meals (emm) is known as the Meals on wheels program for the Edmond community. Clients are accepted into the program based only on need. We serve clients with chronic health issues, those who cannot cook or shop for themselves, isolated individuals and those recovering from surgery, accident, or illness. Our service allows seniors to remain living independently in their own homes for as long as possible. We are the only program to provide this service to homebound seniors in Edmond. In 2023 we served over 73,000 Meals and signed up 284 new clients. Edmond Mobile Meals delivered an average of 260 Meals each weekday to clients who range in age from 29 to 100 years old, regardless of their ability to pay for the service. Ninety-four percent of the emm recipients are over age of 65, and ninety percent live completely alone. 100% of our clients state that the service we provide allows them to continue to live independently in their own homes.

We continue to provide meal service to individuals within 24 hours of receiving enrollment information without placing anyone on a waiting list. The demand for emm to expand services continues to grow each year as the number of qualified individuals in need of assistance continues to grow.

Our menu continues to be diverse and updated based on client feedback. We continue to serve fresh fruits and vegetables daily. Being able to purchase fresh produce has enabled us to prepare many dishes from scratch which makes the menu more delicious and helps meet our clients' daily nutritional needs.
