Program areas at Eagle Hill Foundation
Eagle Hill school is a life-changing experience for students ages 5-15 with language-based learning differences. The school offers these students the opportunity to develop the self-confidence and character necessary to meet the challenges they will face in more traditional learning environments. The academic program is skills-based, rather than grade driven, and individualized based on the diagnosed needs of each student. Eagle Hill serves students with a number of learning differences including: dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, adhd, auditory processing disorder, and executive functioning disorder.teachers at Eagle Hill are highly credentialed and expertly trained in various educational methodologies, as no one specific method is used to achieve academic success for our students. Class sizes are small, with an average class of six students, allowing teachers to build a close rapport with their students and tailor every lesson to their learning needs. Teachers are supported by an advisory team in each school division. These teams include master teachers, academic advisors, speech and language pathologists, and members of the psychological services team. The Eagle Hill curriculum goes beyond academics and students enjoy a wide variety of athletics, activities, and community service opportunities.approximately 243 students attend - mostly from westchester and fairfield counties. A five-day residential program allows students from a broader geographic region to attend the school. This includes students from new york city, boston, and even international students.
A summer program is available for students who need an Eagle Hill education year-round. The school's summer program is open to students 5-14 with language-based learning differences.
