Academics and arts:academics - ranked as one of dc public schools' highest performing high schools, Ellington encourages its students to take advance placement course load that includes calculus, biology, chemistry, us history, world history, language and literature and world language, as well as honors academic courses. Ellington's academic block meets from 8:30am - 2:00pm to provide maximum focus as we delve into the curriculum using best practices to support our students' efforts towards unlimited academic achievements.
