Dubuque Regional Humane Society

During the year 2,735 stray and relinquished animals were admitted. 264 animals were reclaimed by owners and 2,245 animals were adopted into new homes. The organization's live release rate was 96.08%. The staff medical team spayed or neutered 1,553 cats and dogs, having a positive impact on overpopulation. We provided 17 youth with Humane education curriculum developed around forwarding the drhs mission of care and compassion. The organization had 303 volunteers that donated over 20,000 hours providing care for animals. We donated approximately 17,000 pounds of dog food, cat food and cat litter to pet owners facing financial hardship.
