Program areas at DASH
275 children and 76 adults received swim lessons. 90 hours, times the number of instructors teachings at each of those hours, was provided. 18 team athletes participated as instructors. There were a total of 37 instructors.
Swim team: Dash provides an opportunity for all children in the local Area to participate in a competitive swim team. During swim practices, water safety and stroke technique are taught. Team building and cooperation are encouraged. 138 usa Swimming and 7 masters Swimming participated. Many members who swam, starting in june, were required to register as 2021 by usa Swimming and us masters. There were probably another 50-60 in that category. 114 families participated as swimmers, and 157 as officials.
Dash swimmers participated in 34 usa meets. Dash swimmers also participated in the Iowa games as individuals, but not as members of Dash, as that meet required individual entry. At the high school level, we have several Dash members represent their hs teams at both the ia girls and boys meets and one swimmer at the Wisconsin meet.
