Several events supported the organization mission to operate as a nonpartisan think tank that partners with advocates, organizers, elected officials, and other leaders to improve policymaking in cities and for cities:- martin luther king, jr day - leading a coalition of more than 190 national and grassroots organizations in both Arizona and dc to deliver the urgent call to retore democracy which resulted in an echoing call across america for congress to pass voting rights legislation.- march of our lives - rally on the national mall calling for meaningful legislation to end mass shootings in schools and the eradication of gun violence.- Drum Major coalition - signature initiative in 2022 identifying the martin luther king jr's of today, investing in the best black and brown led organizations around the country, and empowering marginalized communities to be the change needed in the world.
