Our purpose is to engage in research, instruct and train individuals for the purpose of improving or developing their capabilities and educate the public on subjects useful to individuals and beneficial to the community. Dost means friend in hindi. Our vision is to get low-income kids school ready to increase their opportunity to escape generational poverty. We empower parents of any literacy level in india to take charge of their childs early development. We use mobile technology, research-backed curriculum, machine learning, and behavior science to solve everyday parenting problems and nudge parents to nurture cognitive and socio-emotional development in their 3 to 6 year old kids. Currently, we have supported 53,000 families in india since 2017 through our flagship school readiness phonecast campaign. In 2019 alone, we reached ~25k new parents; reaching a total of 46k parents since our may 2017 launch completed delivering over 800k minutes of parenting curriculum via phonecasts through these efforts, we develop the nextgeneration of learners. Our model and impact received global recognition in 2019. We were: named a 2019 mit solver team (usa); top 3 edtech innovation by the global Education and skills forum(dubai); wise awards finalist (qatar foundation) presented as an example in an article about the changing face of ngos in indiahttpsmeconomictimescomtechit... featured in a forbes article on founders who killed it in 2018httpswwwforbescomsitesfastfor...
