Program areas at District Bridges

Main streets: this program is a nationally accredited main street that engages holistic community development through a four point approach. The program provides direct support to small businesses through direct technical assistance and helps build a more cohesive community through community events and activations. This program also distributes grants to small businesses for covering the business improvement costs.
Other: the organization engages in other programming that supports local businesses and neighborhoods.
Community development block grant: dhcd funds a facade improvement program assistance program and small business technical assistance program that enables our organization to support small businesses with the construction of new facades that improve the appearance of their business and provide online ta through access point dc.
Community engagement: the organizations hosts over 50 events throughout the year to bring the community together and engages in connective services to support residents experiencing housing insecurity.
