Program areas at Dillinger Research and Applied Data

Dillingerrad worked closely with the state of Connecticut to evaluate and set up systems for Data collection for over 100 individual youth-serving organizations across the state. The work consisted of meeting individually with each organization to assess the needs and individual capacity for Data collection, helping the organization choose the right system for their unique structure and providing Data collection and system training. In this project, dillingerrad also created a free and easy solution for those organizations that did not have an online Data collection system in place. For those organizations already using a Data collection system, dillingerrad assisted in evaluating and guiding, where necessary, in the Data collection capabilities to meet the state fundingrequirements.
Dillingerrad has continued to partner with a large mid-western urban school district under multiple department projects that support students in the district. The primary focus of the work has been to provide support and guidance regarding improvements to the school transportation system utilized by district students. Work has helped to reduce ride times on buses, develop more innovative ways for students to get to school, and reduce overall transportation costs across the district. Additionally, we helped to provide modeling regarding a district wide improvement initiative and their student-based budgeting model, with the end goal of ensuring students have better access to innovative educational and extra-curricular programming.
Dillingerrad worked with a largely rural western state's department of education and facilitated numerous legislative task forces and work groups across a wide range of stakeholders. One group's topic centered around the state's facility schools: institutions designed to support varying levels of higher need youth. In that project, dillingerrad assisted in developing a solution around a new funding model, drafted the legislative report, and helped implement and track the new legislation. Dillingerrad has also facilitated appointed task forces around complicated and thorny topics including revising the statewide school funding formula with a focus on student need and recommendations for efficient and equitable student transportation legislation.
We leverage Data and tools that youth-centered organizations currently use to help students and youth succeed. We help develop equitable and sustainable solutions for our partners. We developed research-backed methods to address the questions, working within the context of our partners' environments.
