In 2019 Diabesity Institute continued to provide public education and promoted awareness of the science of metabolism through monthly king 5 tv segments during the first quarter of 2019. The Institute's medical director edited sections of curriculum materials and worked toward publishing an introduction to the science of metabolism for healthcare professionals, derived from part 1 of the prior year's 4- part curriculum effort and further investigated graphic design production and distribution options. The Institute continued developing a software interface tool, in collaboration with dfnet research and cooper center for metabolism, for healthcare providers to share clinical data with patients and evaluate aggregate data relating to patient outcome for metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and obesity. These efforts further advance our mission to increase access to effective medical care for those suffering from Diabesity. The Institute discovered a need to refine further the software capacity to track aggregate data collection for adults and children, particularly in lipids and mean arterial blood pressure response. Extensive efforts in collaboration with dfnet research were undertaken to advance this goal. Diabesity Institute collaborated with cooper center for metabolism to draft a white paper reporting clinical trends in a subset of nearly one thousand patients whose targeted treatment incorporated the software interface tool. The data analyzed include percent change in body weight in adults with obesity and percent change in hba1c in adults and children with prediabetes.
