The affordable housing and commercial development program serves as a driving force in providing balanced, whole-life opportunities for the residents of the Columbia Heights Neighborhood located in Northwest Washington, DC. The affordable housing and commercial development division has more than 21 units of affordable housing bfor low and moderate-income families and has assisted in the development of commercial businesses in ad around Colubia Heights since its first project in 1991.
The business and economic developemnt program offers support services and technical assistance designed to expand the capacities of small businesses and aspiring enterpreneurs in the Columbia Heights neighborhood. DCCH initiatives have generated increased employment, scores of small business success stories, and fiscal investments in major retail development projects.
