Desert Cat Rescue and Sanctuary of Arizona - DCRSA serves as a no-kill organization with a mission to rescue animals, promote adoptions, prevent animal abuse, reduce overpopulation and neglect of domestic companion animals. As a Petsmart charity, we have an adoption center in Tucson where we take in surrendered, lost and stray kitties. We fully vet them by spaying/neutering, performing snap tests, administering FVRCP & rabies vaccinations and micro-chipping. Additionally, we have a senior companion program for the voiceless pets.

Program areas at Desert Cat Rescue and Sanctuary of Arizona - DCRSA

We are a petsmart charity and we have an adoption center at petsmart in tucson. We take in surrendered, lost and stray kitties. We fully vet them: spay/neuter, snap tested, fvrcp & rabies vaccinations and micro-chipped. We also have a senior companion program. Our seniors are not able to take on the financial burden of owning a pet. We take away the financial burden and provide the necessary supplies and vet care. All they need to supply is the home and love. Many of our adobters have children. We have partnered with the library and offer a reading program for these children. When someone with children adobts a kitty from us between the age of 0 - 12 they are given a book bag with new books, courtesy of the library, so they can go home and read to their new best friend. The book bags will include age appropriate pet care instructions for the children too. Our petsmart partners will also be adding to the bags treats and toys for the kitties.
