Program areas at Deki
Due to our gracious donors and the lifting of the Health Crisis restrictions, 2022 provided an opportunity for Deki to fully reopen our Nahla Primary School. In terms of impact, we were able to enroll over 450 children back in classes and provide them with a free quality primary education close to home in their village. Without this support, these children would not have been able to experience the life changing opportunity of education!
And finally, as we closed in on the opening date for Hayden, we readied the campus adding some small facility tweaks and a few additional school supplies as the final touches before the big day.
Again, due to our gracious donors and changes in the Health Crisis restrictions, we were also able to launch preschool classes at our second facility, Hayden Primary School. As mentioned previously, this campus was constructed in an area that is home to a significant number of children who are unable to attend school. In fact, the closest school is a costly private institution, and the nearest public school is several hours away. Simply put, what a wonderful gift to our parents and students as they were able to celebrate their first preschool graduation!
