Program areas at Darton Health Professions Foundation
The proceeds from the contributions go to helping students through the giving of scholarships, college promotional activities, and to faculty and staff to help promote and encourage a positive learning environment.
The Foundation delivers programs that nurture students & educators to identify healthcare Professions that promote workforce & access to healthcare in ga. Approximately 400 individuals were educated as to fields of study & resources for education. Students were instructed how to identify & apply for competitive award opportunities & prepare for employment. The Foundation also accepted 322 applications for scholarships, & awarded 70 grants, and financial resources to encourage independent study, research & pursuit of healthcare Professions. The Foundation conducted webinars & classes, & provided direction & supervision for potential, current, & future grant recipients. The Foundation maintains significant involvement with recipients by monitoring degree progression/attainment & offers coaching, education & career development, & job placement counsel that contribute to workforce development, improves access to healthcare, & fills workforce gaps in the educational and healthcare industry.
The Foundation conducted Health and wellness programs that utilized fitness coaching, body mass indexing scans, nutritional and supplemental education and guidance, and physical fitness and exercise routines to measure Health improvements. Thirty-five individuals participated in the pilot, and some Health improvements were noted, while other professional healthcare treatment was recommended for identified Health issues.
The Foundation delivered numerous digital and in-person programs to approximately 400 high school students, college students, and educators, helping them to better understand fields of interest, career opportunities, financial literacy for educational pursuits, identify local, regional, and national scholarship and funding opportunities for their educational aspirations. These included best practices for identifying, applying, and preparing for application and tailored essay coaching
The Foundation endeavors to promote education, the cause of higher education, expand educational opportunities, provide resources that promote a positive learning environment and enhance learning opportunities, acquire, and distribute funds that provide resources resources and scholarships, encourage financial literacy for education, promote healthcare-related education and Professions, and deliver continued education for post-graduate and career professionals. The Foundation utilizes its resources and revenue to deliver programs that educate and nurture high school students and individuals about about healthcare-related Professions and identify available financial resources that remove the financial barriers to obtain a post- secondary educational degree or certificate. Under the direction of salaried employees, staff, board members, and volunteers deliver education, counseling, financial assistance, and job placement activities.
