The Cultural Center of Cape Cod is more than a building. It is a world- class, inclusive space that cultivates curiosity, creativity, and Cultural exploration through exhibitions, learning, music, and events. Discover the bass river arts campus, a hidden south yarmouth treasure dedicated to enhancing the lives of its community and guests through diverse arts programming. Boasting five galleries, resident artist studios, a performance hall, a culinary arts Center, a recording studio, ceramic studios, a makerspace, and art classrooms, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Plug in and engage in one of the 682 hands-on classes for adults and children, or unplug and enjoy a concert in the great hall. Open year- round, the galleries are always free entry and open to everyone. The hyarts programming annex is nestled among museums and arts organizations, a public library, a shared art wall, green space, vibrant businesses, a lively main street, and education partners-all within walking distance of the harbor in downtown hyannis. This community arts space offers arts education, salon performances, artist dwell spaces, and a glass studio and workshop. The Center's devotion to serving at-risk populations is truly remarkable. Its rise and shine program offers tailored in-person and online programming to young people, seniors, individuals with special needs, those facing homelessness, people in recovery, and others. In 2023, the Cultural Center made a significant impact on the creative economy, injecting 209,433 into the community. With 2,776 artworks submitted for exhibition and 28 art exhibitions held, the Center showcases a vibrant artistic landscape. We hosted 330 live performers and welcomed 3,431 concert attendees. Our commitment to education is reflected in the 3,328 lifelong learners attending classes. Volunteers contributed an impressive 2,980 hours to support our mission, and we proudly displayed 351 artists in our galleries. As we strive for greater inclusivity, it's heartening to know that 42% of concerts were headlined by women and 19% by bipoc artists. We are also committed to sustainability, with 0 plastic used during art openings.
