Cultural and Heritage Commission communicates and preserves the natural and cultural histories of the Carolina Piedmont, inspiring a lifetime of learning. It serves our school community with a broad range of programs in history, natural history, astronomy, and education for pre-kindergarten through adult learners. The CHM also serves the broader community through tours, special events, concerts, planetarium shows, and daily experiences at its sites: Historic Brattonsville, the Museum of York County, the McCelvey Center, and the Main Street Children's Museum.

Program areas at Cultural and Heritage Commission

The chm serves our school community through a broad range of programs, serving pre-kindergarten through adult in content areas including history, natural history, astronomy, and education. We offer a variety of engaging educational opportunities, early childhood education programs, and events at the main street children's museum, historic brattonsville, the museum of york county, the mccelvey center, and the historical center of york county.
