Program areas at Crowden Music Center

The Crowden School is an independent day school dedicated to music and academic education of children in grades four through eight, focusing on string instruments, piano, and composition. The program serves approximately 70 students. The academic program is designed to help student achieve intellectual and emotional maturity through the development of analytical and critical thinking. The music program includes technique classes, music coaching, in small and large ensembles, and music history and theory. Curricula and school life are enriched by professional artists from all over the world.

Crowden Community Programs (CCP) are a vital community resource that provides the highest quality music education, training, and opportunities for performance to students of all ages and skill levels. CCP serves as a musical hub for the Bay area with over 6,000 individuals attending classes, workshops, rehearsals, concerts, and other events each year. Students come from 40 cities in 8 counties throughout the Greater Bay area.
