Program areas at Cross-Lines Community Outreach
The Housing Stabilization Program provides client stability through rent and utility assistance, homeless rehousing, and homeless outreach. In 2022, Cross-Lines provided $499,000 in rent and utility assistance, rental deposits, emergency hotel stays, and ID/birth certificate assistance to over 800 households.
Cross-Lines provides education and outreach throughout the year to needy families and individuals living in Wyandotte, Leavenworth, and Johnson Counties in Kansas.
The Hunger Relief programs offers food to low-income seniors, individuals, and families and utilizes over 1,800 volunteers each year. In 2022, the Community Kitchen served 62,470 meals to the community. The Community Market, provides food for families to take home and prepare. In 2022, the Community Market/Food Pantry provided food to 12,243 families. The Commodities Food Distribution Program provided over 1,200 seniors with a monthly distribution of USDA commodities food.
Christmas Store: The Christmas Store provides parents with the opportunity to 'shop' for Christmas for their families. Many families struggle to provide for the basic needs of their families, let alone the extra expense of Christmas presents. Each parent gets to choose what gifts they will give their children.
