Coos Art Museum serves as the cornerstone of visual arts on Oregon's Southern Coast, building an arts and cultural community by promoting appreciation, understanding, and expression of visual art through collections, exhibitions, and educational programs. Program areas at Coos Art Museum

Exhibitions and events: annual juried exhibitions of exciting new Art from contemporary artists all living and working in the western u.s. a permanent collection maintained by the organization focuses on contemporary fine Art prints and original works in all media.
Rental sales gallery: wide array of original Art from the areas finest artists for the public to rent or buy. Artists are provided rental gallery space for sales of Art.
Art education: Art education is one of the three key areas of endeavor enshrined in the organizations mission statement. The organization places an emphasis on teaching Art skills. Classes and workshops are given regularly.
