Program areas at Consortium for Early Learning Services
The Quality Start Riverside County is made up of three (3) programs: 1. Training Program - This program coordinates all required and voluntary professional growth activities for staff of Quality Start Riverside County sites. 2. Stipend Program. This voluntary program that provides monetary incentives for non Title 5 site staff who complete college coursework and/or attend approved professional growth events (conferences, workshops, seminars, etc.) All participants must be employed by sites that are actively involved with the Quality Start Riverside County program. 3. Jump Start Program - Provides curriculum items to qualifying QSRC sites to improve the quality of the educational environment.
AB 212 funds are used to support a compensation and retention program in Riverside County by which child care providers working in state funded before or after school programs or state funded preschool programs receive stipends for remaining in their job for one year and increasing their education and/or professional growth. The goal of this program is to increase quality and continuity of care.
The California Transitional Kindergarten Stipend (CTKS) Incentive Program funds areused to support a compensation program in Riverside County by which TransitionalKindergarten teachers can receive stipends for completion up to 24 semester units ofECE coursework. Stipends will also be issued to participants for 21 hours ofapproved professional growth activity.
