Program areas at Congress of Communities
Served 250 families and 500 children in the early childhood monthly playgroup program to encourage child development as well as supporting 31 parent leaders in the taking action por nuestros ninos program to build their leadership skills, shared resources and opportunities to over 650 families each month via text.
Supported 6 local block clubs and neighborhood associations to amplify resident voice and mitigate the negative impact of gentrification, door knocked over 30,000 doors to promote nonpartisan voter education.
Served 15 youth weekly in the latinx youth council program to build leadership skills and support their college and career goals. Hosted 15 youth for summer employment with the grow detroit's young talent program, involved over 80 youth ages 13-24 yrs in programs throughout the year, youth advisory board 10, ages from 14-24yrs , environmental justice 8-12 ages 14-24 yrs, detroit creative society 14 young leaders in art ages 14- 24.
