Program areas at Comprehensive Medical Mentoring Program
Public health internship Program: cmmp partnered with the bureau of community preparedness to expand, train, and sustain a response-ready public health workforce to support jurisdictional covid-19 prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. In this Program, students and mentors were paired together to present educational presentations about covid-19 and ways to prevent transmission as well as educate the community about other public health topics. Each month, upon successful completion of requirements, interns receive $2,000 stipends. Additonally, mentors received a stipend of $2,500 per month for participating. This Program included 12 interns and 6 mentors.
Pre-med bootcamp: four (4) interns were paired with mentors as they prepared their applications for Medical school.
