Planning then implementation: begun in 2013 through funding from the us department of health and human services' administration for Community living (acl), the project promotes the development and dissemination of best practices in Transportation planning inclusive of people with disabilities and older adults. A major component is the funding of a series of demonstration projects focusing on furthering inclusive planning practices at the local level. In fy22, programs continued in three cities, flagstaff, atlanta, and seattle. An agreement with Oklahoma city's arnall family foundation began in 2019 to first develop and then to manage a multifaceted mobility management program designed to increase the success of the foster care system throughout the city. Over 150 particpants with over 6k trips (3800 in fy22) from all of the dhs offices have been served; the rate of successful reunification for climb ride participants is 63%.
Member services:we were able to host our annual expo meeting again this year resulting in two events where training occurred in person. As the year progressed and the grip of covid 19 lessened, other in person trainings were resumed on sites upon requests. We were able to continue remote option trainings throughout the year. This fiscal year over 39k transit professionals were trained in nine certification tracks. Total membership pre covid 19 was just over 1200 members; with the covid forcing many transit operators to curb operations our membership fell to under 1,000 two fiscal years back and grew to 1142 at the end of fy21. For fy22 we finished the year with a membership bases of 1223 members. To keep members current with the changing federal and transit developments we continue to host several video conferences, reported out on various medias and held our small urban conference. We completed another successful emerging leaders class at our second expo in fy22. We are supporting potential and current members through leadership development and providing resources at all levels.
