Program areas at CTAI
Mobility management - ctai engaged new Community stakeholders and partners to leverage existing resources increasing Transportation options available throughout Idaho. Now more than 81% of cities in Idaho have one or more Transportation options to move their citizens and visitors from point a to point b. ctai raised the awareness of the public Transportation needs in Idaho by making more than 15,460 direct contacts and more than 26,378 indirect contacts during the fiscal year. Ctai facilitated the meetings of the district coordination councils in each of the six Transportation districts a minimum of 4 times during the year. In addition, ctai coordinated with numerous agencies, cities, counties and stakeholders to expand, implement or reinstate Transportation services for idahoans.
Rideshare - ctai conducted outreach efforts with organizations to help educate about carpooling and vanpooling resources and rewards, partnered with transit agencies, vanpool providers, and ridesharing programs around the state. Ctai held the first annual statewide Idaho rideshare week, held the second week in october. There were 95 new users added to the online ride matching tool, Idaho rideshare.org, as a result of the first annual Idaho rideshare week. Additionally, ctai worked to prepare for the 2nd annual statewide Idaho rideshare week, again the second week of october. Total reported non-sov miles driven: 19,065 (increase of 7,700 over previous year) total active users: 700
Rtap - ctai hosted trainings and webinars to provide additional opportunities within the state for Transportation providers. Training topics included: certified safety & security officer, infectious disease awareness & prevention, advanced mobility device securement, all hazards awareness and social media. Ctai district offices hosted webinars to offer networking and discussion opportunities. The Idaho rural Transportation assistance program (rtap) provided 64 scholarships totaling over $30,000. Additionally, rtap funds were leveraged to provide in-state trainings and two annual conferences.
Advocacy/membership - ctai added several new general members to its rosters and the ctai membership currently represents a cross-section of providers, communities, non-profits, human service providers, bike-ped groups, individuals and businesses throughout Idaho. In addition, ctai's grassroots "i-m 4 Transportation options" group increased to over 600 participants interested in improving transit across the state. Ctai staff reached out the Idaho congressional delegation on several issues and worked to educate local elected leaders on the value of public Transportation in Idaho. Finally, ctai hosted its annual legislative social to celebrate the work of Idaho Transportation providers and saw participation from nearly 30 legislators and congressional staff.
