Program areas at CHIPS
Soup kitchen and food pantry - during 2022 Chips served 51,195 meals and distributed 5,629 food pantry bags to food insecure residents of our Community. This task was accomplished with the Help of volunteers who provided 5,800 hours of assistance.
Transitional housing for women - during 2022 Chips provided transitional housing for 15 mothers and 15 babies. The frances residence offers fully furnished studio apartments for expecting and single mothers needing temporary housing. Mothers receive pre-and post-natal support services and assistance in their search for work and permanent housing. The residence program helps mothers become self-sufficient by focusing on maternal/child health training, career development, and ongoing life skills.
