The Selby Preschool provides children, ages one to five, with a high- quality, early childhood education. Classrooms are inclusive, meaning that typically developing children and children with special needs are taught together in the same setting. Selby's focus of connecting children of different backgrounds and abilities encourages empathy, as well as social and emotional skills that will benefit children throughout their entire lives. It is the goal of Selby Preschool that each child develops to his or her highest potential as they go on to their next level of educational experiences.
Adult Day Training - the adult day training program is an educational, social and vocational based program that is intended to support clients in their daily routines. ADT fosters the development of skills through job exploration, community inclusion, volunteer opportunities and self-advocacy training. Clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities are able to gain essential skills that are needed to foster their independence. Clients are offered a variety of choices to participate in throughout the day. Arts and crafts, culinary arts, fitness, janitorial crew, and grounds maintenance, are some of the options that clients can choose to participate in during their ADT hours. The activities and established routines are meant to be meaningful and provide interest for each individual client. Therapy services are offered on-site.
The Selby Academy offers an enriched high school academic program with opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and/or arts related programming for students who have post-secondary education (traditional, vocational, or technical college) as a goal. Community Employment Services (CES) helps individuals gain and retain employment.
