Assisting unhoused people in local parishes via a grant to the Acadiana Regional Coalition on Homelessness and Housing (ARCH) of $180,000. ARCH's mission is to ensure that everyone in Acadiana has access to safe,affordable, and decent housing. It provides a continuum of care for homeless individuals and direct services including sharing household goods and providing funding for rapid rehousing and prevention of homelessness.
The Digging for Treasure Ministry includes weekly bible study, semimonthly ministry in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, visits to hospitals and nursing homes as requested, semimonthly ministry to Christian recovery center, distribution of gift cards and utility assistance to hurricane victims, donations to 501(c)(3) organizations helping women experiencing homelessness, and grants of scholarships.
Assistance to Immigrants detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Centers in Louisiana. Donations to pro bono legal services providers, donation to immigrants in detention commissary accounts, and costs of medical records (estimated 80 immigrants assisted) through volunteers providing temporary shelter, food, and transportation to immigrants when they are released from ICE detention center (estimated over 1500 immigrants assisted)
