Communities in Schools of Renton- Tukwila empowers students to stay in school and achieve in life by surrounding them with a community of support. The program services and activities are supported by many dedicated volunteers who provide specialized skills or enhance nonfinancial assets. Students benefit from a mentor program where they are matched with a community volunteer who spends one hour a week at their school providing them with support and encouragement for a brighter future.

Communities in Schools of Greater King County (Formerly Communities in Schools of renton-tukwila) (cisgkc) focuses on students who have historically been the furthest from educational justice in elementary and secondary Schools within the renton, tukwila, lake Washington, issaquah, and seattle school districts.
