Common Ground Health (FLHSA)

During 2021-22, Common Ground Health continued its response to the covid-19 pandemic by ensuring equitable distribution of covid-19 vaccines, test kits and masks; conducted a listening tour with 279 people across the region to understand their questions about the covid vaccine; supported a speakers bureau to ensure that trusted experts can engage with our neighbors where people live, work, play and pray; convened the Finger Lakes reopening schools safely task force and hosted forums for hundreds of educators and administrators and supported them throughout the year with messaging guidance and infographics; convened the Finger Lakes covid vaccine task force and workgroups; launched the "you deserve answers" vaccine confidence campaign; enlisting a team of "covid ambassadors" to help residents get vaccinated; published "the color of Health: the devastating toll of racism on black lives and socialized the 50-page report through a series of more than 35 presentations to the community; continued drafting a latino Health equity report; engaged 350 women and girls in focusing on their Health at the "a call to women of color" event; distributed 2,000 play kits to support at-home play for kids; convened the regional consortium on healthcare workforce and shared insights with state representatives on the impact of the pandemic on the long term care workforce; released an issue brief on elder care in the Finger Lakes region; convened a food policy council in partnership with the city of rochester and foodlink; assessed medical pipeline programs; and convened the young child wellness council; and drafted the my Health story survey in preparation for deployment in summer 2022.
