Program areas at College Area Pregnancy Services
The CAPS Organization has served over 13,667 individual patients since opening in 2000 with four medical clinics located in the city of San Diego. Clinics are located near San Diego State University, in Pacific Beach, the Downtown Area and Kearny Mesa. In 2022, medical professionals performed 1,171 pregnancy test verifications and 1,448 ultrasounds, as well as 15 post-abortion and miscarriage grief peer consultation and education sessions. Ten men and women benefited from CAPS 5-week Parenting Classes. 1,250 women and couples received referrals for community resources such as Medi-Cal, Nurse-Family Partnership and local Adoption Agencies. All pregnancy-related services were provided free of charge. CAPS also provided over 300 Sexually Transmitted Disease/Infection STD/STI testing and treatment services at low to no cost to 52 patients.
