Program areas at College and Career Access Center of Jackson
College and Career advising services provided to over 4,000 students and adults each year county-wide in the Center, the 13 Jackson county school districts, and through partnering with businesses, colleges, & non-profit venues. Services included aspirational curriculum for 947 k-8 students focused on stem & skilled trades; College and business tours for students in 8th and 11th grades; one-on-one consultations with 1101 seniors and over 70 group workshops for College applications, financial aid resources, fafsa and scholarship completion, Career assessments, interview skills, resume/cover letter preparation, and job shadowing; outreach to over 300 students from previous high school graduating classes; Career planning services with one-on-one College & Career advising at the Center with 556 clients & reaching over 250 students and adults at community partner venues.
