Program areas at CHIC

Chic education programs provide mind-body-spirit mentorship for young women (and sometimes young men). Chic curriculum builds positive identity, mindfulness, and self-efficacy to increase school engagement. Our curriculum is tailored to be developmentally appropriate at the elementary, middle, and high school level. We currently serve over 150 students in four schools in the denver metro area.
Workforce: women at work facilitates holistic, race and gender-responsive personal development, and provides skills training that empowers women to access jobs in high-earning, high-demand, low-barrier careers in which they are currently under-represented.
Chic's re-enter, re-build, re-start (r3) program provide over 75 young women - referred to chic from schools, courts, and community partners - with specialized and intensive individual, family, and group-based early intervention and prevention supports. Chic's holistic and culturally competent services lead to improvements in near-term social, emotional and prosocial behavioral outcomes which contribute to long-term reductions in risk factors, violence, and arrest.
