Program areas at Coalicion Fortaleza
Our general community engagement programs have been to serve and center fire survivors in the fire recovery efforts post-Almeda Fires of 2020. Our two housing projects, Talent mobile Estates and Summit Gardens, have emphasized the importance of organizing and facilitating community engagements to ensure that our community is part of re-imagining their neighborhoods and have voice in the decision making process. These programs focus on education, leadership development, outreach, and services.
The Climate Survival Youth program is designed uniquely to develop the leadership of our young people with the skills, tools, knowledge and resources they need to feel confident in leading their families and communities towards a climate resilient future. De La Raiz programming focuses on belonging and creative placemaking for the Latinx and indigenous community of the Rogue Valley.
This program offers financial assistance while also emphasizes financial education and counseling to empower clients with essential skills to manage their money effectively. Clients receive guidance on budgeting, debt management, credit building, and other financial topics, ensuring their long-term success even after completing the program. Our IDA program fosters economic growth, strengthens communities, and creates a pathway to a brighter, more prosperous future.
