Clinical Research Foundation worked with Robley Rex VAMC and University of Louisville on an investment of 2 confocal microscopes to be used to advance veteran research and strengthen the relationship between the Robley Rex VAMC, University of Louisville and Clinical Research Foundation. This was over a one million dollar investment made by the VA which was published by local media sources, including University of Louisville Alumni Magazine.
The Robley Rex VAMC and Clinical Research Foundation is a central hub for the VA Lung Precision Oncology Program. As a part of the program, we are setting up the foundations for a VISN-wide study network in which we are working with 4 other VA Medical facilities and non-profit foundations in the region to increase the accessibility and efficiency of research programs for veterans. As a result, this is our fastest growing research program.
Clinical Research Foundation founded a new ?Research Day? initiative that presents research opportunities to veterans once a month in Robley Rex VAMC. The initiative is designed to increase awareness in research programs that are available and to increase the opportunity for enrollment into open studies.
