Program areas at Clean Ocean Access
Clean - removed over 10,000 pounds of marine debris via over 200 different types of beach cleanups and 4 trash skimmers to improve Ocean health from the shorleine and surrounding areas of aquidneck island, rhode island. 70,000 people live on aquidneck island and benefit from our work, as well as millions of visitors each year. Led a community-based data-driven campaign to eliminate single use plastic bags from retail establishments. The organization has one publication per year for this program that summarizes the total result and individual activities and is available on the website. Also initiated a composting program focused on reducing litter and marine debris, as well as a shrink wrap recycling program.
Access - monitored 50 public shoreline rights of ways to protect and preserve shoreline Access for the residents and visitors of aquidneck island, rhode island. 70,000 people live on aquidneck island and benefit from our work, as well as millions of visitors each year. The organization has five publications per year for this program that summarizes the quarterly updates of the Access program and a photo journal of a 3.5 mile section called the "cliff walk". The current version of both reports is available on the website.

Community - performed over 90 minds-in hands-on experiential environmental education activities with students in age range from 4 to 20 on aquidneck island with over 5,000 contact hours. The inaugural report is now on the website and the 2019 update completed by 4/1/2020.
