Program areas at Clayton Child Care
LICENSED CHILD CARE PROGRAMS: Clayton provides high-quality, state-licensed childcare in schools and other centers across Tarrant and Dallas counties. Our before- and after-school programs and all-day holiday and summer camps serve approximately 4,350 children and their families annually. We create a safe, supportive environment where elementary-age children engage in hands-on, project-based learning. Our programs encourage social skill development, teamwork on community projects, and the practice of self-management and responsible decision-making.Clayton also operates two high-quality early childhood centers, offering daycare and preschool for 152 children ages six weeks to five years. These centers focus on providing engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for our community's youngest members. Our affordable programs allow parents to confidently work or complete their education, knowing their children are safe and engaged in fun, enriching activities. Financial aid scholarships are available for qualifying families, ensuring no child is turned away due to financial hardship. Annual fundraising efforts help support these financial assistance awards.
CONTRACTED CHILD CARE SERVICES: Clayton partners with community organizations to provide specialized child care and early learning opportunities for their clients. We offer on-demand child care services for children ages three months to 10 years, available during the day, evening, and weekends. These services support recreational facilities, nonprofits, and school districts in meeting the child care needs of the families they serve.
GRANT-FUNDED AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS: Claytons grant-funded afterschool programs are free to families and serve approximately 1,900 youth annually. These programs, funded through school districts, crime prevention initiatives, and Texas 21st Century Community Learning Center grants, provide comprehensive on-campus enrichment. Children with high academic and/or social needs are identified by school staff and recruited for participation over the summer, with open enrollment available to all students at the start of the school year. These programs play a vital role in juvenile crime prevention, academic enrichment, and improving math and literacy outcomes for students.
