Program areas at Clark County Literacy Coalition

The organization serves students in reading, writing, and spelling methods, critical thinking, functional life skills, and english for speakers of other languages. 1. Adult basic Literacy education: 9 students will show significant improvement upon reassessment after 50 hours of instruction 2. English speakers of other languages: 61 students will show significant success upon reassessment after 50 hours of instruction. 3. 75% of the 25 trained tutors will complete certified tutor training. 4. 85% of teaching children to read students will achieve success upon reassessment after 6 months. 5. Teaching children to read will attract and prepare 30 students to meet with a tutor.
