Program areas at Citizens for A Loring Park Community
We continue to slowly come back from COVID, Civil Unrest, Violence and Property Damage. Annual outdoor events included the Loring Park Art Festival, Twin Cities PRIDE, and the 2nd Peace in the World Concert, an all-day concert featuring local Ukrainian and Russian bands, JD Steele, and Mill City Singers. The National Night Out Event was hosted by the Womans Club of Minneapolis. Monthly Safety Coalition meetings were hosted virtually. We held three fundraising activities: Neighborhood Holiday Party, Love Loring, and Give to the Max Day. Our Loring Park Neighborhood Newsletter posts twice a month. Crime and Safety continues to be the #1 priority. The Berger Fountain Task Force meets monthly. We hosted engagement meetings on proposed public works projects. We continue to work with the Park and Recreation staff on the creation of 2 Pickleball Courts. Spots for the urban food gardens filled quickly. CLPCs role was to promote the opportunity to garden.
