Program areas at Camp Swatara

The Camp was organized in 1949 and provides opportunities for people to grow in their relationship with jesus christ in a natural setting. Designed to be a vital part of the continuing christian education ministry of local congregations, the program and leadership is intended to provide for the best of fun, fellowship, and christian growth. Retreat facilities are available throughout the year. The Camp Swatara family camping center is open with full services in warmer months and for winter camping from december to march. It serves the needs of member congregations of the church of the brethren from the state of Maine, south to wilmington, Delaware, and west to harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
