Emergency Services operates 2 locations in central and southwest Houston. The program provides food, financial assistance and referrals to residents of 29 zip code areas of Houston. Financial assistance is targeted to help with a family's rent, utilities, prescriptions or other medical needs. Services were provided to 73,998 (duplicated) people in crisis during 2022.
Back to School provides disadvantaged students with grade-appropriate school supplies and new clothing at the start of each school year. A total of 6,326 students received assistance in 2022.
JobNet assists the unemployed in conducting an effective job search. In 2022, 333 people were helped.
Martha's Way is a 42-hour curriculum that teaches participants to become small business owners in the field of domestic housecleaning. During 2022, 161 students were aided on their road to vocational success.
Home Caregiver Training is a 50+ hour curriculum that provides training in the field of caring for older adults. During 2022, 63 students graduated from our class.
Jingle Bell Express collects, purchases, and provides food, toys, and books to needy local area families during the Christmas holiday season. A total of 2,476 children were aided through this program in 2022.
The Louise J. Moran Vision Care program provides eyesight screening, professional eye exams and glasses to children free of charge. In 2022, 484 children received professional eye exams with 431 of them receiving new prescription glasses.
